Leaving On A Jet Plane!

Well...I told you I wasn't lying. I wasn't just messing with your minds. For those of you who said that I'd never leave or would change my mind, you were mistaken. I just attended a going away party. I saw a bunch of good friends from back in the day that I haven't seen in years. I appreciate all of you coming. I had a blast catching up with you all. I'll miss you while I'm gone. Now the reality is setting in. Soon, I'll be on American Airlines Flight 1237 and then on Korean Air Flight 024. My flight departs in less than 8 hours. In a little over 24 hours, I'll be a resident of Incheon, South Korea. I've been informed by some Korean friends here in the USA that I most certainly will be a celebrity in Incheon. Each person has asked me, "How many 6 foot tall, 300 pound, bald, white men are there in Incheon." I keep getting reminded that I'll be an oddity in my new home. That's alright. I'm a bit of an introvert, but I'm not a snob. I can sign a few autographs (sarcasm). A lot of you have been scratching your heads at my decision to move to the other side of the world. Well...I'm not running from anyone or anything. I love my family. I love my friends. Many of us don't realize how small we are compared to the big picture. When I arrive in Incheon, I won't know anybody. I won't know the places, culture, language, etc. I won't have the comforts of home. I won't have the familiar sounds, voices and smells that I've grown so accustomed to and dependent on. Experiencing life in these new ways will be a great test. I know that I'll experience homesickness. There might be days that I'll be miserable, but each day I'm there, I'll experience something new. In unfamiliar territory, almost everything will seem new to me. I'm anxious. I don't know if I can sleep. I'll miss you guys. I'll keep you updated.
